AOSpine is one of the world’s most famous academic organizations of spine care professionals. Established in 2003, it emphasizes the importance of continuing education through lifelong learning programs, hands-on training and courses. AOSpine encourages every member to take an active role by providing case studies and mentoring other AOSpine members, both locally and internationally.
Co- Chaired by Dr. Wen Yuan, AOSpine China Council Chairman, and Dr. Jeffrey Wang, AOSpine International Board Chairman, AOSpine Advances Seminar - Challenging Cases Discussion Forum (COA Pre-Meeting) will be held concurrently with the 7th International Congress of Chinese Orthopaedic Association (COA2012) on 15th November, 2012 in Beijing, China.
We welcome to you COA, as jointly conducted this educational event for the second time after huge success in 2011 as an academic forum to offer spine surgeons in China to share experiences with one another. 6 overseas well-known faculties and 14 local China surgeons would join together to kick off a fruitful discussion between the East and the West.
Participants would be privileged to gain insights from our invited international professionals who will join force with those leading spine surgeons in China to share their valuable experiences on topics relating to the most challenging cases in this one-day education event
The program has 4 sessions including cervical spine, deformity, spine tumor and trauma. This course is focused on the challenging cases and will cover the topics of upper cervical kyphosis, failed cervical arthroplasty, severe congenital scoliosis, growing rods techniques in early onset scoliosis, fusion levels selection in AIS with large lumbar curve, correction of severe thoracolumbar kyphosis, malignant primary lumbar tumor, management of giant dumbbell-shaped neurofibroma, revision surgery of spine tumor, spinal fractures in ankylosing spondylitis, treatment of pediatric cervical spine injuries and injuries of the craniocervical junction ect.
