20世纪70年代以来，骨与软组织肿瘤领域取得了跨越式的发展和长足的进步，近40年来，涌现出许多学富五车、行为世范的杰出专家。2014年的金秋时节，COA会务组委托北京积水潭医院骨肿瘤科盛情邀请了多位国际顶级专家莅临COA2014骨肿瘤教程与大会专题讲座。享有盛誉、德高望重的前辈Rainer Kotz教授虽然年事已高，仍亲临会场讲述近百年来骨肿瘤的变迁与发展。国际保肢协会主席Windhager Reinhard教授、来自英国伯明翰大学的Simon R. Carter教授、美国哈佛大学麻省总医院的Francis John Hornicek教授、美国Moffitt骨肿瘤中心的G. Douglas Letson教授、美国M.D.Anderson骨肿瘤中心 的Valerae O. Lewis教授以及来自美国、日本、韩国和中国香港等国家和地区的多位国际知名教授欣然赴会授课，针对骨肿瘤学科的研究发展、保肢治疗、脊柱骨盆肿瘤的治疗以及骨肿瘤治疗新技术等领域进行广泛讨论，可谓群星璀璨，不失为骨肿瘤学界的饕餮大餐，也以此缅怀刚刚离去的骨肿瘤学界的鼻祖W. F. Enneking教授。
